The Chief Minister’s Award recognises and rewards teams or work groups for their achievements of excellence in the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS).

Who can be nominated?

Teams and work groups in the Northern Territory Public Sector.

Award categories:

  • Excellence in Human Services Delivery
  • Excellence in Customer Focused Workplace Practices and Service Delivery

Medal

The Chief Minister’s Medal recognises and rewards an individual's outstanding and commendable public service.

This includes:

  • service above and beyond the normal requirements of the individual's position
  • significant achievement or success in the performance of duty in difficult or unusual circumstances
  • sustained high level performance with a focus on outcomes and recognisable benefits to clients, Territorians and the workplace
  • innovation in program, project and policy development
  • demonstrated passion and capability for frontline work (working directly with the general public, e.g: nurses, bus drivers, teachers, shopfront employees)
  • demonstrating the NTPS values daily
  • providing excellent customer service
  • demonstrating outstanding Aboriginal leadership.

Who can be nominated?

Individuals in the Northern Territory Public Sector.

Nominations can be received from colleagues, supervisors and directors.

All nominations must be endorsed by the agency Chief Executive Officer.

Self nominations will not be accepted.
