Information for medal nominations
As part of the Northern Territory Government's commitment to excellence in the Public Sector, the Chief Minister's Public Sector Medal is a prestigious medal designed to recognise an individual's outstanding and commendable public service.
The medal is open to all public servants, from office administrators to frontline staff dealing directly with the public.
The judging panel assesses nominations and reviews an individual's achievement across the sector: submissions from various employment streams; employment levels; length of service; regional and remote locations; and age groups.
While a medal may be awarded to an employee who has reached a service milestone, the number of years served is not a judging criteria.
A maximum of 10 medals are awarded each year by the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory.
In addition, medals are awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding Aboriginal leadership.
